Department at a Glance:The Department ofMathematics was established in the Year 1987.The vision of the department ofMathematics is to generate skilled mathematical mind with all scientificaptitude of knowledge based society. We feel that it is a continuous process toprovide Mathematical application to not only pure natural science but also toCommerce, Economics and Social Science.

Department conducts various co-curricular activities likeGuest Lectures, Seminars, Workshops, educational tour and Industrial Visits forstudents to update their theoretical andtechnical knowledge. Department helps students to develop the soft skills andtechnical skills through Extra Curricular Activities.

ii. We propose to develop the department as special Research Centerin History of Indian Mathematics & the contribution of Indians toMathematics.

� National Mathematics Day was celebrated on 21 December 2018 bythe Sponsorship of Chhattisgarh Council of science and technology and a State Level Workshop was Organized byDepartment of Mathematics On RecentAdvances in Mathematics and Their Applications on the occation of NationalMathematics Day 21 Decembar 2018 Catalysedand supported by Chhattisgarh Council of Science and Technology and NationalCouncil for Science and Technology Communication (NCSTC), DST, Govt. of India,New Delhi.

� Celebrated Dr. Homi Bhabha Anniversary with Department ofphysics dated: 30/10/2019.

� Organized two days National conference on “Recent Advances inPhysical sciences” with collaboration and Aegis of International Academy of Physical sciences jointly organized byDepartment of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry,dated:18/11/2019 to19/11/2019. This programme wasattended by 72 academician, Scientists and faculty members, 36 researchscholars, 342 students (Total 450persons) from the different institutesof the different states of India. The conference was sponsored by ChhattisgarhCouncil of science and technology(CCOST), Hemvchand Yadav Vishwvidyalaya, Durg,Nagar Palik Nigam, Rajnandgaon and Janbhagidari Samiti Govt. Kamladevi RathiGirls P. G. College Rajnandgaon.

� Celebrated Swamy Vivekananda Jayanti jointly by Department ofPhysics, Mathematics and Chemistrydated: 12/01/2019.

� Celebrated National Mathematics day on 22 December 2020 byorganising National Webinar in Which Prof. Vinod Mishra of Sant LongowalInstitute of Technology Punjab has given Guest Lecture as Chief Guest and Dr.Amita Joshi from IAS academy Indore Madhya Pradesh delivered guest of honour talk and PrincipalDr. Suman singh Baghel presided over the function.

� Organized a Guest Lecture for Under Graduate students, dated:23/12/2020, Guest Speaker –Mrs. B. Jhansi Rani, Mahatma Gandhi National Councilof Rural Education, Hyderabad, India.

SwamiBhaskaranand Library

A Very useful and effective Bhaskar Library , started in 09September 2015 in the name of our Gurudev Swami Bhaskaranand Tirth ji Maharaj,is functioning in the department. The fund for this library is based oncontribution of Dr. Omkar Lal Shrivastava and Dr. Sumita Shrivastava. Thislibrary contains books of various interesting and important fields vizMathematics, Physics, Chemistry, General Studies, Mathematical Reasoning,Languages ,etc. . We provide our personal books in this library to help studentsof weaker sections helling from backward areas of Chhattisgarh state.
