Profile of theDepartment of Botany: Inview of lively rural surrounding andrich diversity of plants there had been acandid demand for opening Botany department in Govt. Kamla Devi Girl’s P.G.College and therefore in 1987formally the Botany branch was opened. Since thenthe Department of Botany has been enrolled for only general stream of course.From the academic session of2013-14, the department was upgraded to PostGraduate level of teaching under Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, Raipur (CG)and now it is under Hemchand Yadav University, Durg (CG) from academic session2017-18.
